This fresh fruit combination is so delicious, and with the flax, avocado and ginger, it's like a mini-meal on its own. Enjoy.
Green Smoothie Meal (Serves 1)
- 4 collard, kale leaves or 1/3 bunch dandelion leaves, or 1/2 bunch parsley or two handfuls of arugula leaves mixed with 2 handfuls of salad mix
- 1 apple
- 1 ripe banana
- 2/3 cup frozen berries
- 1/2 English cucumber
- 1 inch piece of fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground flax
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds or pumpkin seed or almonds
- 1/2 avocado (optional)
- 2 inch piece of wakame or dulse flakes (great support for thyroid and full of minerals)
Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and fill 1/2 full of filtered water. Blend for 60 seconds and enjoy.
