Dealing with Environmental Toxins

· Blog

I’ve wondered for a long time how to get rid of the toxins we breath in, like from car exhaust. Well, Dr. Greger came through again with the answer. Join us to learn more:

So broccoli sprouts are very powerful and can make a big impact on environmental toxins in our system. This is such good news. They also strengthen our immunity and are great to keep tiny tumors from having the blood vessels needed to grow. They protect us.

Isn’t it amazing the things science is discovering about the capacity our bodies have built in to keep us healthy even when we’re exposed to toxins. Seems almost like a miracle to me.

And remember, 1 cup of broccoli sprouts is equal to 5 cups of broccoli. I’m going for the sprouts! Buy them and use as lettuce in a salad or just on their own. They are delicious and provide our bodies with what we need to stay healthy even in the midst of bad air.

If you want to watch Dr. Greger’s Video on broccoli sprouts, here is the link.

The recipe this week is a salad made with broccoli sprouts as the lettuce. Fun to add all the different veggies you enjoy and top it with nutritional yeast, lemon and black pepper. Tasty!
