Date Paste has become a standard for sweetening our desserts these days. We love the taste it gives and that it's a whole food and not a refined sweetener like maple syrup or honey. It's healthier for us this way and very easy to make.

- 1 cup dates
- 3/4 cup filtered water
Add both ingredients in to a high-speed blender and blend on high for 60-90 seconds.
Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
We substitute date paste for maple syrup or honey 2 to 1. So, for every tablespoon of maple syrup, we use 2 tablespoons of date paste.
