Blueberry Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls are a way to eat a smoothie that makes it more like having a meal.

To make a Smoothie Bowl out of any of your favourite smoothie recipes, just decrease the liquid so it’s thicker and “spoonable” and top it with any of your favourite toppings: whole fruits, coconut or a sprinkle of granola.

Blueberry Smoothie Bowl (Serves 2)

  • 2/3 cup filtered water (hot water if using frozen fruit & you don’t want a “frosty” bowl)
  • 2 cups frozen or fresh blueberries
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 kale leaves without stems or a big handful of spinach
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax
  • 5 medium dates, pitted

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and whir until smooth.

Pour into a bowl and top with any of your favorite fruits, berries, nuts, seeds, coconut or granola.
