Smoothie bowls are a way to eat a smoothie that makes it more like having a meal.
To make a Smoothie Bowl out of any of your favourite smoothie recipes, just decrease the liquid so it’s thicker and “spoonable” and top it with any of your favourite toppings: whole fruits, coconut or a sprinkle of granola.
Blueberry Smoothie Bowl (Serves 2)
- 2/3 cup purified water (hot water if using frozen fruit & you don’t want a “frosty” bowl)
- 2 cups frozen or fresh blueberries
- 2 bananas
- 2 kale leaves without stems or a big handful of spinach
- 1 tablespoon ground flax
- 6 dates, pitted
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and whir until smooth.
Pour into a bowl and top with whole blueberries, sliced banana, shredded coconut and chia seeds.
