A client recently shared with us that she tried the Caesar Dressing on our website and couldn't believe how good it was. And we have to agree, we think it's a great tasting dressing. But what that brought up for us is how many recipe "gems" like this are on our site that most people haven't discovered yet.
Join us to hear more.
Our website and recipes are unlikely to show up on the first page of a Google search, so not many people find them without knowing about us. There are literally hundreds of recipes from desserts to bean and lentil dishes to quick-and-easy, and so much more.
There's a category for ethnic dishes like Hummus or a Creamy Pasta Primavera, and one with Quick & Easy recipes for when you're in a hurry.
Our favourite taste combinations are found in Mexican food and there are lots of great Mexican-style dishes on the site. One that is surprisingly simple and flavourful is the Three Sisters Meal that uses the three staple foods of the Mexican culture: corn, beans and squash. Topped with salsa and avocado, it's the best!
And we understand, if you're anything like us you're busy and having a routine of meals that you like can keep things easy and manageable. But when you're looking for something new, check out the recipes section of our website.
And, just so you know, when you're on a page listing a category of recipes like beans, for instance, we'll show you the pictures of the first 20 recipes, but there are more. To see the whole list of recipes in that section, click on the "More Posts" button at the bottom of the page.
And keep in mind, there's a search function to help you. Click on the small magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner and you can search the whole site.
So, if you have a number of ripe bananas, you can search "bananas" and it will bring up all the recipes with banana in the title, as well as all the recipes that include bananas in the ingredients.
Beyond the recipes available on the site, we're also currently offering a free cookbook with additional treats and meals. They are all VERY WFPB and SOS-free. Just click on the "Free Cookbook" button on the top right of the website.
There are hundreds of recipes in total. All fabulously delicious, just waiting to be discovered. Give some a try and let us know what you think.
The recipe this week is a Noodle Soup with Kale, filled with veggies and kale. It tastes so delightful.
To your Amazing Health,
Connie and Bill
Noodle Soup with Kale (Serves 4)
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 celery stalks, thinly sliced
- 3 carrots, cut in matchsticks
- 6 cups vegetable stock
- 1 tablespoon salt free substitute (I love Costco’s No Salt Organic)
- ½ teaspoon marjoram
- ½ teaspoon crushed sage
- ¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- 3 cups fusilli pasta or your favorite noodle broken in pieces
- 4 to 5 stalks of kale, torn in small pieces
Optional (if you want it more vegetable dense):
- 1 ½ cups frozen peas
- 1 ½ cups cabbage, sliced finely
Add the onion, celery, carrots, vegetable stock, and all spices to a large pan. Stir well and cook for 20 minutes.
Add the pasta and continue to cook for another 5 minutes,
Now add the kale and cook until tender (approximately 12 to 15 minutes.)
Serve and enjoy.
